The short answer

A sales quota calculator works backward from your target to the activity needed to reach it. Enter your quota, average deal size and your win, meeting and call conversion rates, and this tool returns the deals, opportunities, meetings and calls you need, and the pipeline to build. It is free.

Who it is for

SDRs, account executives and managers who plan activity against a target, and founders who want to know how many calls a quarter really takes.

How it works

  1. Enter the target and your rates

Quota, average deal size, and the share of calls, meetings and opportunities that move to the next stage for you.

  2. Read the funnel backward

From deals won back to opportunities, meetings and calls, rounded up because you cannot make part of a call.

  3. Check the pipeline you need

The pipeline value to build, and the coverage ratio your own win rate implies.

Frequently asked questions

  • Divide quota by average deal size to get deals. Divide deals by the win rate to get opportunities, those by the meeting-to-opportunity rate to get meetings, and meetings by the call-to-meeting rate to get calls. Round each step up.

  • Pipeline coverage is the value of open opportunities divided by the quota. With a 25% win rate you need four times the quota in pipeline. This tool derives it from your own win rate instead of a fixed rule of thumb.

  • Use your own from the last two or three quarters, taken from the CRM. Rates from other teams or from articles vary a lot with the product, the market and the segment, and they will move the answer more than anything else on the page.

  • No. It assumes your rates and deal size hold. If deals often slip to the next quarter or close smaller, lower the win rate or the deal size to match what you see.
