The short answer

A price objection handling script is what you say when a buyer says the price is too high. Pick what they said, such as too expensive, over budget, a cheaper rival or a discount ask. Add your price and next step. This tool writes a five-part reply you can say out loud. It is free and needs no sign-up.

Who it is for

Account executives, founders and SDRs who hear "too expensive" and want the words ready before the next call, including what to say when the buyer pushes again.

How it works

  1. Pick what the buyer said

Too expensive, over budget, a cheaper rival, a discount ask, no budget or not worth it. Each one needs a different reply, so the script changes with it.

  2. Add your numbers

Your price, what the buyer gets for it, the rival they mention, what you can trade and the next step you want. An empty field shows a bracket.

  3. Say it, then change it

The script has five short parts. Read it twice, then put it in your own words. The last line is for the second push, which is where most sellers fold.

Frequently asked questions

  • A price objection handling script is the set of words you plan to say when a buyer says the price is too high. A good one agrees with the feeling, asks what the price is being compared with, answers that comparison and proposes a next step. It is a structure to learn, not a text to read aloud.

  • Agree with the feeling in one short sentence, then ask what they are comparing the price with. "That's a fair reaction. What are you weighing it against?" The question tells you whether the problem is budget, value or a rival's quote, and it buys you a beat to think.

  • Do not argue the number. Ask what they would be getting for that price and whether it is the same thing. Then say honestly where you differ and where the rival fits. A buyer who hears you concede a point believes the rest.

  • Not straight away. You do not yet know whether the problem is money, value or a quote from somewhere else. If you do move, trade it for something, such as a longer term, an earlier start or a case study. The discount impact calculator shows what each percentage point costs you.

  • Yes. A real-time AI sales assistant can hand you the first sentence while the buyer is still finishing theirs. It cannot know your margin or how far you may move, so you set those numbers. Axelize does this in your own voice on Google Meet, with Zoom and Microsoft Teams on the roadmap.
