Answer all six questions to see your score.

The short answer

A MEDDIC scorecard rates how well qualified a deal is across six areas: metrics, economic buyer, decision criteria, decision process, identified pain and champion. Answer one question for each area, and this tool returns a score, a verdict and the gaps to close first, with a question for each. It is free.

Who it is for

Account executives and managers who review deals, and founders who want an honest read on a pipeline they are about to forecast.

How it works

  1. Answer six questions

One for each MEDDIC area. Pick the option that is true today, not the one you expect to be true by the next call.

  2. Read the score

A percentage, a verdict and a plain description of what that stage of qualification looks like.

  3. Close the weakest gaps

The lowest scoring areas come first, each with a question to ask on the next call.

Frequently asked questions

  • MEDDIC stands for metrics, economic buyer, decision criteria, decision process, identify pain and champion. It is a sales qualification method used mostly for complex, higher value deals.

  • Each answer is worth zero to three points, so the highest possible total is 18. The score is the total as a percentage. It is a way to compare deals and spot gaps, not a forecast.

  • Score it when it enters your pipeline, again before any forecast call and after any call that changes the picture. A score that never moves usually means the deal has stopped moving.

  • No. The scorecard runs in your browser and nothing is sent or stored.
