AI CRM for founder-led sales that fills itself in
Which CRMs fill themselves in from your sales calls, what they cost, and where a CRM that records calls ends and a tool that helps during one begins.
Founder-led sales needs three things. Somewhere to keep the deals. Nobody typing into it. And help while you are actually on the call. Most “AI CRM” lists solve the first two and quietly skip the third, which is the one that decides whether you get the deal.
Three kinds of tool wearing the AI CRM label
Attio, Clarify and Lightfield are CRMs first. They capture your calls with a recorder or notetaker, then fill the records after the call ends. You get a real CRM, with a data model, views and automations, and you get it with no typing. What you do not get is anything during the call. None of their pricing pages we read describes live suggestions.
Convo, NextSay, CallCopilot and Backdrop are live assistants that also push notes to a CRM. They help while you talk and then sync afterwards, so you keep the CRM you already have. The catch is which plan includes the sync: NextSay lists Salesforce and HubSpot from its Premium plan, Backdrop lists CRM auto-sync from Starter, and Convo’s pricing page puts native CRM integrations under Enterprise while its FAQ lists Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive and Attio. Check the plan.
Axelize is a live assistant with a light CRM inside it: companies, contacts, products, files and meetings in one record that you read and the assistant reads too. After a call it fills blank fields from what the buyer said, with the transcript line behind each value. The honest limit is that it has no HubSpot or Salesforce sync yet. Those are on the roadmap, not live.
What the AI-native CRMs cost and how they capture calls
Read from each vendor’s own pages on 14 October 2026.
| Tool | Free option | Paid | How it captures calls |
|---|---|---|---|
| Attio | Free for up to 3 seats and 50,000 records | Plus $35 a user billed annually ($44 monthly). Pro $79 ($99) lists Call Intelligence | Its Call Intelligence page says its native AI “records, transcribes, and logs every call”. Zoom, Meet and Teams. Bot not stated |
| Clarify | Free with 1,000 credits a month and 20,000 records | Starter $50 a month with unlimited seats. Growth from $1,000 a month | A call recorder and notetaker on every plan, and the page says the notetaker “keeps joining and recording your calls” |
| Lightfield | None. Starter has a 14-day trial | Starter $89 a user a month. Pro $999 a month per workspace, billed annually | Capture seats record and transcribe meetings, and an extra capture seat is $200 a month |
| Axelize | None. A trial of 14 days or 5 calls, no card | Solo $40, Pro $100, Scale $250 a month, per user | Reads Google Meet’s captions. No bot, no audio or video |
None of the three AI-native tools lists live suggestions on the pages we read. If something here is wrong for your plan, the vendor’s page wins, so check it.
What a light CRM can and cannot do
Here is Axelize’s CRM, plainly. It keeps your companies, contacts, products, files and meetings in one place and fills blank fields from calls. It also researches the account before the call, so there is a brief on the page before you join. That is a real CRM for a founder with a handful of accounts, and it is the same record the live assistant reads, so a better record means a better suggestion.
It does not have a deal pipeline board, email sequences or forecasting. It has no HubSpot or Salesforce sync yet. If you need call notes to land in HubSpot or Salesforce today, Axelize is the wrong tool, and the live assistants above that list those syncs are the better pick. Attio is a far deeper CRM than ours, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Which one to pick
- You already pay for HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive and your data lives there: do not swap your CRM to get call capture. Add a live assistant that syncs to it, or run one beside it.
- You have a spreadsheet and a Notion page: start with a free AI-native CRM, Attio for up to three seats, and add live help for the call itself.
- Your problem is the call, not the admin: pick the live tool first and let the CRM be the boring one.
- You sell on Google Meet and want one tool and one bill: Axelize, from $40 a month, with a trial of 14 days or 5 calls and no card.
Do the math the lazy way. Attio Plus at $35 plus CallCopilot Starter at $18.99 is $53.99 a month for two tools, and Axelize Solo is $40 for one seat of one tool. That comparison flatters us, because Attio does far more than a light CRM, so use it as a sanity check and not as a verdict.
And the pushy part, because someone has to say it. If you are typing call notes into a CRM by hand in 2026 while a free tier of a CRM that does it for you exists, you are paying with your evenings. Your future self is not going to thank you for the spreadsheet.
Test any call-fed CRM on three real calls
- Check that every field it filled shows the line from the call it came from
- Count the fields you still fixed by hand afterwards
- Find out whether a bot joined, and whether the buyer noticed
- Ask what a seat costs once you need the call feature, not the starter plan
- Ask what happens to your records if you leave
