Add your price and next step. This tool writes a five-part reply you can say out loud. It is free and needs no sign-up.

Pick what the buyer said about the price, add your numbers and get a script you can say out loud: a reply, a question, an answer and a next step.

## Every template, by situation

### It's too expensive

Agree with the feeling, ask what the price is being compared with, then answer that.

That's a fair reaction, [first name]. [your price] is real money.

What are you comparing it with: what you do today, or a quote from somewhere else?

Either way, I'd rather work through the maths with you than defend the number. [your product] is meant to give you [the result], so the question is whether that is worth more than [your price] to you.

If the maths holds up, would [the next step] make sense?

If they push again: "Which part of the price is the problem: the total, the term or what it covers?"

### That's more than we budgeted

Find out whether the budget is fixed or the priority is low.

Thanks for telling me straight, [first name].

Is the budget fixed for this quarter, or is this not ranked high enough to get funded yet?

If it is fixed, I'd rather show you the smallest version of [your product] that fits than argue with [your price]. If it is a priority question, the thing to settle is what [the result] is worth to you each month.

Would [the next step] help you take it to whoever owns the budget?

If they push again: "If the number does not move, what would have to change for this to get funded?"

### Your competitor is cheaper

Do not argue the number. Say where you differ and where the rival fits.

They may well be, [first name]. [the rival or number] is a fair thing to compare us with.

What are you getting for that price, and is it the same thing? I'd rather you chose on what matters than on the lowest number.

What we are built for is [the result]. If that is not what you need, [the rival or number] may be the right call, and I would tell you so.

If it is what you need, would [the next step] be a fair way to check it?

If they push again: "If the two cost the same tomorrow, which one would you pick, and why?"

### Can you do a discount?

Trade the concession for something. Never give it for nothing.

I'd rather not move [your price] for nothing, [first name], but I can look at it if we trade.

If you can commit to [what you can trade], I can work on the price. What would that look like on your side?

That way the discount is something you earned, not something I gave away, and it holds up when someone asks why you got it.

If that works, would [the next step] be the next step?

If they push again: "I can't do it for nothing. What can you give me in return: a longer term, an earlier start or a case study?"

### We have no budget for this

Separate no budget at all from no budget set aside yet.

Understood, [first name]. Is there no budget at all, or none set aside for this yet?

If it is the second, the question is what [the result] is worth to you, and whether it could come out of something you already spend on.

I'd rather find out now than send a quote that goes nowhere. If there is a version of [your product] that fits, I'd like to show you. If there isn't, tell me and I'll stay out of your way.

Is [the next step] worth doing before you decide?

If they push again: "When does your next budget cycle start, and who signs it off?"

### I'm not sure it's worth the price

The buyer doubts the value, not the number. Ask what would prove it.

That's the right question, [first name], and it's the one I'd want answered too.

What would [your product] need to do for [your price] to feel obviously worth it?

If the answer is [the result], we can test that on a real example before you pay for anything. If it is something else, I'd rather hear it now.

Would [the next step] be a fair way to test it?

If they push again: "What would you need to see in the first month to say it paid for itself?"

## How it works

### Pick what the buyer said

Too expensive, over budget, a cheaper rival, a discount ask, no budget or not worth it. Each one needs a different reply, so the script changes with it.

### Add your numbers

Your price, what the buyer gets for it, the rival they mention, what you can trade and the next step you want. An empty field shows a bracket.

### Say it, then change it

The script has five short parts. Read it twice, then put it in your own words. The last line is for the second push, which is where most sellers fold.

## Who it is for

Account executives, founders and SDRs who hear "too expensive" and want the words ready before the next call, including what to say when the buyer pushes again.

## The script is ready. The call is not scripted.

This tool writes the reply you plan for. Axelize hears the objection on your live call and writes the reply from that account's own records, in your voice, while the buyer is still talking.

## FAQ

### What is a price objection handling script?

A price objection handling script is the set of words you plan to say when a buyer says the price is too high. A good one agrees with the feeling, asks what the price is being compared with, answers that comparison and proposes a next step. It is a structure to learn, not a text to read aloud.

### What should I say when a buyer says it is too expensive?

Agree with the feeling in one short sentence, then ask what they are comparing the price with. "That's a fair reaction. What are you weighing it against?" The question tells you whether the problem is budget, value or a rival's quote, and it buys you a beat to think.

### How do I respond when a buyer says a competitor is cheaper?

Do not argue the number. Ask what they would be getting for that price and whether it is the same thing. Then say honestly where you differ and where the rival fits. A buyer who hears you concede a point believes the rest.

### Should I give a discount when a buyer says the price is too high?

Not straight away. You do not yet know whether the problem is money, value or a quote from somewhere else. If you do move, trade it for something, such as a longer term, an earlier start or a case study. The discount impact calculator shows what each percentage point costs you.

### Can an AI help with price objections during a live call?

Yes. A real-time AI sales assistant can hand you the first sentence while the buyer is still finishing theirs. It cannot know your margin or how far you may move, so you set those numbers. Axelize does this in your own voice on Google Meet, with Zoom and Microsoft Teams on the roadmap.
